We include round-trip bus tickets from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes about 25 minutes and offers stunning views along the way.

10. What is the altitude of Machu Picchu, and will I feel altitude sickness?

Machu Picchu is located at 2,430 meters (7,970 feet), which is lower than Cusco. Most travelers do not experience altitude sickness here, but it’s always a good idea to stay hydrated and take it easy.

11. Can I store my luggage during the tour?

Yes, you can store small bags or luggage at your hotel in Cusco or at the train station in Ollantaytambo. We recommend traveling light for this tour.
